classicisim vs creationism

here are two versons of the shoulder roll. one is the classic bias cut pirce of folded calico that falls quite flatly and felty tube that is also a rectange of fabric that has been rolled into a swirl. the results of the experimental roll were far more striking than the original technique. the roll was more sharp and pronounced.

experimental toile

here are some pictures that i took with my house mate in the experimental toile. i made this one out of bra foam and i visa-fix the wool to one side. the premise of this idea is that all the pieces are arranged on the fabric and half cut out then sew together whilst still being attached to each other. i used the bra foam because of its dimensional stability.

at the romance was born exhibition.
i am facinated by the crazy creatures that they made using all kinds of materials. they remind my of the unicorn head i made in first semester out of calico and coulourful wigs.

i found some videos that are inspiring to me on you tube. i am fascinated by destruction and chaos at the moment, not sure what that says about my mental state... Cornelius is concerned.
 

who do you think you are?

Identity is individuality. can an item of clothing change a persons identity or can an item of clothing change with the persons identity? i asked a few classmates to wear Cornelius in any way they wanted to see if he can adjust to them.

Suave

After searching long and hard i found my blazer, at Frankston savers hanging regally on the racks of the upstairs men's section. The blazer is a beautiful heavy wool double breasted number with grosgrain lapels. I feel like his name should be Corneilius or Laurence, something distinguished like its original owner. On the inside any identification is missing making me believe that he is an old soul, made with love by a Romanian immigrant tailor for dignitary. Rare is his kind.
